I am so happy I finally made it to Sallie's Bistro in Dunedin.From the moment you walk in and are warmly greeted by Kieran, one of the owners, you feel like you are set to have a lovely dining experience.It's been on my list to try for a while since they opened.My Friend and Broker at Coastal Properties Group Forbes said it is wonderful and one of their favorites. And it's often mentioned on FB and Instagram for N Pinellas Foodies, Palm Harbor and Dunedin Happenings as well and I can see why.Small but well curated, Belgian beer selection. I had a refreshing white Belgian Ale the owner recommended.The Chef started us off with a yummy & balanced amuse-bouche of an apple and curry soup which was yummy surprise.My husband had Carbonnade a La Flamande with Frites - (Beef stewed in Belgian triple Ale & Callebaut dark chocolate). He called it a luscious Belgian Mole and it was so good he was basically licking the bowl surreptitiously and I couldn't blame him. The sauce Chef Michele creates is that good.And another Star Dish is their Fresh Mussels. They offer them with at least 4 or 5 options but all are steamed in the traditional style and so fresh! For mine, I chose the addition of Garlic, Fresh Parsley and a Touch of Cream. They were divine especially with those perfectly crisp imported Belgian Frites (french fries). Our friends tried a few items from their recently added steak menu as well. Overall a true gem and a must try for an upscale evening with elevated and fantastic food by a gracious and talented team. #EatLocal #YelpTampaBay

My wife and I met friends this past Tuesday. I cannot say enough about our experience.We were started with an amuse bouche that was outstanding. It was one of the Chef's soups having a very well balanced curry flavor, paired with perfectly cut beets and, what i think was a chevre goat cheese and small flat bread point. Being an Executive Chef for the last 25 years, I am a sucker for knife skills and just the presentation of the amuse bouche alone, I knew we were in for a treat.I followed with escargot in a beautiful broth. The escargot were perfectly cooked, very delicate and the broth was also the perfect compliment for the protein. Butter didn't dominate the dish like some escargot recipes. Very lite and kept you moving towards the next course.I followed with their classic beef stew, the Carbonnade a la Flamande. Again, cannot say enough. The menu describes perfect what you will have. Every single taste note came through beautifully without taking away from the main focus of the protein on the plate. Would recommend this dish to anyone trying Sallies for the first time.While I didn't try the other dishes on the table, everyone were having wonderful conversation until food arrived. We almost didn't speak until it was finished, thats when you know it's good!If there are any young Chef's out there looking to learn under from, what i believe is an outstanding chef, look towards Sallies. Even if she isn't hiring, I bleieve if you have the time and wanted to hone your skills as a chef, you would be able to learn really good practices from Michele.I hope the best for this business! Small town businesses like this should be better supported!Thank you for a wonderful evening. We are anticipating our next visit.Edit: There is just one bit of advise I would offer. Your food, service team and the overall atmosphere of your restaurant stands for itself. You do not need to respond to bad reviews, unless you know they arent just leaving a bad review and you did nothing to better their experience and are reaching out to offer return services. Thats just my opinion, you have a wonderful restaurant with amazing food. Looks like many in the Tampa area agree!

We absolutely love this place. A hidden gem in a shopping center. Authentic French & Belgian perfection. Everything we have tried there has been amazing. The owner is very personable. They have a fantastic beer selection and they sometimes offer tasting events. Very happy we stumbled across this place. One of our top picks in Dunedin.

I'm not even sure where to start: The food was simply magnificent... I'm not an expert, you can tell the care and love that goes into each individual meal. I would describe each course as handcrafted perfection.The wait staff was on point, attentive and extremely knowledgeable. The service was welcoming... I felt very much at home.The restaurant itself was very clean and inviting. One wouldn't know from the outside, a small bistro in a strip mall, that one would have such a fantastic dining experience.I'm not much of a writer, so my words aren't truly conveying how great my evening dining experience was...Take the opportunity to put on some nice clothes, and bring someone you care about to this small, local, gem.Enjoy the exquisite food... And enjoy one of the handcrafted desserts.Honestly this experience rivaled a well-known local establishment over in Tampa (that one with the world renowned wine cellar).Prop these folks up and visit, you will not be disappointed.

A truly high caliber experience. I found Sallie’s when just googling local high rated restaurants. My family was a little hesitant when they realized it wasn’t in downtown Dunedin, but Kieran’s service and Michele’s food blew us away. The garlic and parsley mussels were fab. Everyone enjoyed their entrees. We had a bottle of Chardonnay that tasted great, paired wonderfully with the food and I felt was reasonably priced.The chocolate mousse we split for dessert was a perfect end to a lovely meal. I look forward to my next visit.

This place is amazing!! The food was perfect. So many wonderful choices with authentic flavors and beautiful pairings. The chef is so talented. We had such a great time and will go back again. Steak, seafood, soup, appetizers; all are delicious. The creme brulee dessert was a nice light and creamy finish. Many thanks!

I would suggest you go here and experience this place on your own. Truly an amazing dining experience. Food was delicious, service was fast and staff is very friendly! I will be coming back again soon!

My fiancé and I are still speechless… we just had an exquisite dinner here tonight and our experience was 10/10. From the appetizers, main course, wine, and dessert… all was absolutely perfect. This was our first time here and will be first of many as we both stated this was our favorite meal we’ve ever had. We will come back for all special occasions. Please come here, you will NOT be disappointed! The French baguette with garlic/herb butter and sundried tomato butter was a home run, and our meals (the beef stew and the NY strip) all just delicious!!!
